How to download and Set up Android Studio on Windows

Android Studio is the official Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Android app development, provided by Google. It is specifically designed for creating Android applications, including mobile apps, games, and other software that can run on Android-powered devices such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and more.

System Requirements

  • Windows: Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  • Minimum Processor: Intel Core i3 2.5 GHz or AMD equivalent
  • Recommended Processor: Intel Core i5 or higher
  • Minimum: 8 GB RAM
  • Recommended: 16 GB RAM or more
  • Minimum: 4 GB of available disk space (SSD recommended for better performance) however additional disk space may be required for SDK components, system images, virtual devices, and caches.
  • 1280 x 800 minimum screen resolution


Lets start the procedure to download android studio in your systems

Step 1: Search android studio in your browser and go to it's official website.

Step 2: Click the download option.


Step 3: It will display a license that you need to agree in order to continue downloading.
                        

Step 4:The downloading is now started.  After the download finishes open the file from downloads and start installation. The following dialog box will be shown.











Click next to start.

Step 5: Choose components and click next.



Step 6:Now choose the path you can browse it according to your will and click next.



Step 7:Now choose starter menu and click install.Your installation will begin.


Step 8:After completion of installation click finish to proceed.

Now it may take a while to find the sdk(software development kit) components that are installed and then the welcome window appears on your screen.


Click next to set up the development environment and component installation.

Step 9: Android Studio allows you to customize set up environment by installing components that you want. If you are a beginner than it is recommended to choose the standard set up:

Step 10:Review the components according to set type you selected previously and go back if you want to make any change otherwise click next.

Step 11:Next step is to agree to the license agreement of components that we have selected previously.


Step 12:Downloading has now started and it may take some time.
Your Android Studio has successfully installed and ready to use!

In case if you missed some component while installing you can still instal it.
Go to more options.
From dropdown select SDK manager.
Select the component to install and click Apply.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
It is important to have a stable internet connection while installing components otherwise you may miss some components.

it means that your connection is not stable just refresh your connection and click Retry.
